Program Overview

Where Stories Become Skills

Digital Creators is a free, 11-week creative training program of Purple Maiʻa Foundation that builds foundational skills in digital storytelling, marketing, and graphic design. Rooted in moʻolelo and aloha ʻāina, the program empowers Hawaiʻi residents—especially Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander participants—to step into the digital space with confidence, creativity, and cultural integrity.

Digital Creators serves as an entry point into the creative and digital economy, affirming storytelling and cultural identity as powerful sources of innovation.

Our Purpose

Empowering Creative Confidence

Digital Creators exists to expand access to creative and digital skills while centering culture, place, and community. Our purpose is to help learners discover their voice, build practical skills, and see themselves as creators who belong in digital and professional spaces.

We believe the future of storytelling, marketing, and design in Hawaiʻi must be shaped by the people who live here—grounded in ʻike, guided by responsibility, and inspired by community.
